Many people believe it as the best dragon in this format. Think about it as a Bazagazeal Dragon who can cross with any of your cross gears without cost 
. You don't believe that's cool? Or competitive? 
Think again... It can cross with any cross gears without cost by the time he appears in the battle zone, and he's a speed attacker double-breaker. Now let's check a few gears that work with this big guy. First of all there's Bajula's Soul (many pro players will remember this), this gear gives the crossed creature (Bolberg) the same effect as Uberdragon Bajula (burns 2 mana to your opponent); that's why in this format emerged numerous amounts of decks called Bajula's Soul Mana Burn featuring Bolberg. Another gear good to cross with Bolberg is Patrial Flame if you feature light civilization, because it protect him for any effects that targets him (same as Petrova or Yuliana). An interesting strategy this creature can perform is giving him an "can attack untaped creatures" ability and cast Fists of Forever on it to wipe out the opponents creatures and his entire mana zone at the same time, of course, it requires some cards to do the combo, but worth give it a try (Bolberg+Bajula's Soul+Relentless Blitz/Rumble Gate+Fists of Forever). But then again, if you are afraid of the competitive environment you might just play 4x Bajula's Soul and some Bolbergs based on burning mana.
The most used decks that this creature has seen played was WFN or LFN. As you can see nature civilization is pretty important in this kind of decks, because it can help with the mana acceleration, bringing out Bolberg earlier. Of course you can also use Cocco Lupia as Bolberg is an Armored Dragon it reduces it's cost.
There are many others cross gears in this format, and of course you can cross Bolberg to all of them, it's just Bajula's Soul and Patrial Flame are the most used ones. Go get them Bolberg

Forgot to mention Inferno Scissors; can help get rid of the little weenies of your opponent at the same time you attack him

Bolberg, one of the other must used cards in the meta. It's sinergy with "Bajula's Soul", makes it a fiercest card. So, the killer trio is this, and you can use a minimum of 3 mana:
*Bolberg-swap is the most common deck in this format beeing very efficient and versatile. So still don't use mana burn decks? Well, you should give it a try guys!
